MEET THE REGULARS

If you read the “About” page, you know that this website is all about giving people the ability to see many different perspectives’ on different impactful events happening around us in the world. Occasionally, there will be new people or featured people interviewed who, in other words, won’t be regularly interviewed for multiple topics. But, there are some people who have volunteered to regularly be interviewed for different articles, so short summaries about these people and the kind of background they are of are provided below. There’s also a summary on me, because why not?

[ Names have been changed, but the background information about the people remains the same so that you can understand more about these people & how they see the world ]

” MORGAN “

I’m sixteen, turning seventeen. I believe myself to be in between a realist and an optimist. I don’t really have a religious preference, but I do have a strong connection with the Earth and I believe we’re tied to it in ways we don’t understand quite fully. I identify as a girl, and I’m Cuban-American. I politically identify as someone in the middle, I like to see both sides. And as for three things I prioritize above all else, I would say my friends, the arts, and equality are probably my top three. Love comes at a close fourth.

“ASH”

Age? I’m sixteen.

Are you a pessimist, realist, or an optimist? Pessimist, for sure.

Do you have any specific religious or spiritual beliefs?  I feel like there’s something out there that controls all of us.

How do you sexually identify? I identify as a girl, & as gay.

What’s your racial background? I’m Puerto-Rican & white.

Do you have a political identity, & what is it? I identify as a liberal.

What three things do you prioritize, above all else? My friends, music & love.

“NICOLE”

How old are you? I’m forty-one.

Are you a pessimist, realist, or optimist? I’m a realist.

Do you have any specific religious or spiritual beliefs? I was raised protestant, but now I simply believe there is a higher power to things.

How do you sexually identify? I have three kids.

What’s your racial background? I’m Cuban-American

Do you have a political identity, and if so what is it? I don’t identify with any party, I believe that our political system is very antiquated and broken. I feel as though the political parties form groups and that nobody 100% identifies with everything their party says, so nothing every truly gets done. The system needs to be fixed, as there isn’t really any accurate representation.

What three things do you prioritize? My kids, their futures, and my quality of life.

” CARTER “

How old are you? I’m nineteen.

Are you a pessimist, realist, or optimist? I’m a realist.

What are your religious or spiritual beliefs? I’d say being in tune with yourself and how you’re treating other people is something I tend to be fixated on, just doing good because you want to, not from any selfish desire.

How do you sexually identify? I’m still questioning, but I’m into girls mostly. I’m also female-to-male transgender.

What’s your racial background? Black.

Do you have a political identity? I wouldn’t say I belong to a political party per se, but I’m definitely more left sided.

What three things do you prioritize? My emotional & physical health, people I care about, and being sure that I’m sound ethically speaking, as well as the people I associate myself with.

” TROY “

How old are you? I’m eighteen.

Would you consider yourself a pessimist, realist, or optimist? Optimist.

What are your religious or spiritual beliefs? I’m not very religious but I’ve been actually interested in some principles of Hinduism lately.

How do you sexually identify? I’m a heterosexual male.

What’s your racial background? White.

Do you have a political identity? I think political parties are why our nation is extremely divided, and the governing body of a nation shouldn’t be a competition for numbers, but instead a united effort.

What are three things you prioritize above everything else? Family, friends, and happiness.
